Hi, I was stalking the Anatolian Shepherd tag, and I came across your post asking for pictures. I came across the breed recently, and upon seeing pictures, and reading about their personalities, finally realized what my pound puppy, Oliver, is. There’s no doubts in my mind that he’s part Anatolian, and possibly golden retriever considering his coloring. Eight and a half years of thinking he’s part great dane because of his sizing, and I finally found something that fits. Anyhoodles, here are some pictures. This one is my favorite, because it fits his personality perfectly. Self-aware, pouty, and quite possibly smarter than I am:

and here he is cuddling with my lab, Tara. This is strange, seeing as when he’s not sitting on her head, he’s trying to fit it in his mouth. Then again, she is usually trying to steal his toys and treats, so he has good reason.

I hope you liked those. I’m rather fond of my dogs.

Briards are a wonderful dog breed. They are independent, devoted, faithful, loving, and protective. They can be a but self-assured but they are willing to please. They can be a bit reserved with strangers, and aggressive with dogs if not trained well.

Briards have a moderate energy level but due to their size they must have at least a long walk or jog daily.

The long coat on these breeds need to be brushed every other day.
Briards enjoy the company of people.

Average life Span for a Briard is approx 10-12 years.

I do not own these photos I got them from http://www.puppyfind.com/l/?acct_id=515231 : Canine Costars
